What it is
The same nonapeptide as the DSIP vial, formulated as a metered intranasal spray. The nasal route is the one most often used for DSIP in research because it reaches the central nervous system quickly and avoids reconstitution.
Mechanism
DSIP modulates slow-wave sleep in animal models and interacts with GABAergic, glutamatergic and opioid systems. Intranasal delivery gives rapid uptake across the nasal mucosa, which suits a peptide with a plasma half-life of minutes.
