What it is
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide and a selective agonist of the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). It belongs to the growth-hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP) class and is regarded as the most selective member of that class.
Mechanism
Binding to GHS-R1a in the pituitary triggers GH release and suppresses somatostatin. Unlike earlier GHRPs (GHRP-2, GHRP-6, hexarelin) it does not significantly stimulate cortisol, prolactin, ACTH or appetite, which makes it a cleaner research tool for isolating GH-mediated effects.

Safety and metabolism
